About Ken

I’m a seventy-eight-year-old grandfather of four, and a writer, engineer, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner who believes curiosity is one of the most underrated human strengths — especially later in life.

I spent more than four decades working in highly technical fields — from aerospace engineering during the Apollo era to complex international offshore energy ventures. Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by one central goal: translating complex ideas into language everyday people can understand.

In addition to leading and building businesses, I’ve taught industry workshops and served as a guest lecturer in a community college business program. Those experiences reinforced my belief that even the most technical subjects can be made accessible when approached with clarity and respect for the learner.

After retiring — more than once — I turned my attention to artificial intelligence from a distinctly human angle: not just how it works, but how it can be used thoughtfully. Inspired by conversations with my grandchildren and my own learning journey, I wrote AI for Grandparents to help others approach AI with confidence, creativity, and perspective.

I live in Colorado, where I continue to write, explore new ideas, and experiment with emerging technology — often with the help of AI — while staying actively involved with my family and the outdoors. Mountain Muse Media is the creative home for these projects and reflections.
